The walls cause troops to filter around to archer towers, as their is no wall impeding them. The jade lions are out of the core to protect the markets and wells, and the 2x2 square in the core that does not have an assasins den is for the hero shrine.

If you try to place your structures and they sometimes revert back to their original position, you'll need to quickly change a setting in your browser:
